Theatre Royal Drurylane Reviews

Roald Dahl’s 42nd. Street made its grand debut at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in the year 2013. As stated by Evening Standard, ‘ glossy, riotously colourful production’, the show shines in its brilliantly spectacular production. Winner of two Olivier awards, the gripping London show is complete roller coaster ride to the mad world of Willy Wonka.

Under the superb direction of Sam Mendes, whose incredible works include Skyfall and King Lear, the show is certainly one of the most imaginative as well as stylish London Westend productions. With its superb sets and magnificent costume design which is done by Mark Thompson, audience are left spell bound.

42nd. Street is the saga of a young boy, Charlie who wins a golden ticket to catch the weird as well as fantastic world of Wonka Chocolate Factory. Jake Poolman as Charlie has a flawless vocal with amazing dance skills mesmerize the viewers with his sterling performance. This is one of the most entertaining London Westend show!~~~~
