The spectacular production of Richard Eyre’s super duper hit show features Jeremy Irons and Lesley Manville at the Eugene O’Neill theatre.

Long Day Journey Into Night is all set to make its arrival at the Wyndham’s theatre of London Westend for 10 week season. The three hours and twenty minutes show is recommended for 10+ kids. The show is set in August 1912 against the backdrop of Tyrone’s summer home. The play has won prestigious Pulitzer Prize and huge critical acclamation.

The story of Long Day Journey Into Night revolves around a family which is on the brink of turmoil. They are struggling hard to hide their haunted past. However, Tyrones and their son have to face some serious challenge when the day transforms to night. With the disclosure of some irreparable truth and gripping by the vices, this play is rightly stated as one of the greatest American plays of 20th century.

This is truly one of the greatest and popular American plays, penned by the playwright whose other great works are A Moon for the Misbegotten and The Hairy Ape. The lead role is performed by Jeremy Irons whose other remarkable works include The Borgias, Reversal of Fortune, Elizabeth I. The immensely talented actor is the winner of Golden Globe, Academy and Tony Award. He is starring opposite BAFTA and Olivier Award-winning actress Lesley Manville famed for Harlots. She is reuniting with the director Richard Eyre for the first time since performing in one of his hugely acclaimed and blockbuster production of Ibsen’s Ghosts.

The exciting new show, Long Day Journey Into Night will be running at the Wyndham’s theatre for limited period. The show is designed by Rob Howell, costume designing by Irene Bohan, lighting design by Peter Mumford and sound design by John Leonard.
