The musical theatrical version ran successfully at the Imperial Theatre of Broadway with astounding 600 performances. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels have been hosted at Seoul, Stuttgart and Sydney. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is set against the backdrop of lively French Riviera during the peak of Casino culture. The story revolves around con-artist Lawrence Jameson who cons wealthy women out of their money. His acting of conning is supported with his 'bodyguard' Andre.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is an edgy story and grips the viewers thoroughly. Things become interesting when impressive Freddy challenged his authority and the pair strikes a deal, where the winner will stay in the town and the loser has to leave. Both tried their best to con the woman, but their feelings for the woman turn the table.

The Broadway production stars John Lithgow as Lawrence and Norbert Leo Butz as Fredd, who won prestigious Tony Award and Drama Desk award for Best Actor in Musical. The London production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels feature Robert Lindsay as Lawrence (My Family), Rufus Hound as Freddy (One Man, Two Guvnors), Katherine Kingsley as Christine (A Midsummer Night's Dream, Noel Coward Theatre), Bond Girl Samantha Bond as Muriel (Downton Abbey) and John Marquez as Andre (Privates on Parade, Noel Coward).
