According to the recent online
reports, Disney is on the developing phase of its Golden Globe award winning
animated musical Frozen for onstage version. While addressing an interview with
Fortune Magazine, Bob Iger, Disney CEO and chairman given a few hints regarding
the stage debut, as he quoted, “We’re not demanding speed. We’re demanding
excellence.”
Although it is quite evident that
project in already in the developing phase, but it is still unclear that
whether the fantastic musical will head towards Broadway or theme parks of
Disney.
Recently, Frozen was honoured
with prestigious Golden Globe for Best Animated feature. Does the great success
saga of Frozen will set all its way to London Theatres? In almost two decades,
Disney’s Frozen has enjoyed great success at the box office and still
considered as number one Disney animated musical with $669 million gross
earning till date.
Frozen will soon cross the
figures of another musical by Disney, The Lion King. On both Amazon and iTunes,
the music has topped the charts. Disney is enjoying great musical successes
with Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast. Both the musicals were huge success
in commercial and critical measures.
The Lion King is already great
success on Broadway and London Westend with six Tony awards and also running
across the country. Now time will tell that whether Frozen would be able to
mesmerize the audience or not?
