Theatre is all set to host the immensely anticipated return of Academy award
winner, Nicole Kidman in the UK Premiere of Anna Ziegler’s Photograph 51. In
the lead role of a British scientist Rosalind Franklin, Kidman is all set to
mark her return to the London stage from 5th September.
The brand new
London musical Photograph 51 will open from 14th September until 21st
November 2015. The exciting new London show will be directed by Michael
Grandage who is first time making his return to the London Westend. In the year
2014, his season comes to end. Other highlights
are Judi Dench and Ben Whishaw in Peter And Alice, Daniel Radcliffe in The
Cripple Of Inishmaan, Sheridan Smith and David Walliams in A Midsummer Night's
Dream, and Jude Law in Henry V.
Kidman was last
seen on London Westend stage almost 15 years back in The Blue Room at the
DOnmar House in the year 1998. Some of the popular movies to her credit are Days
of Thunder, To Die For, Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge!, The Others, The Hours,
Dogville, Cold Mountain, Birth, The Interpreter, Happy Feet, The Golden
Compass, Australia, Nine, Rabbit Hole, The Paperboy, Hemingway & Gellhorn,
Grace Of Monaco and Paddington.
Recently, Kidman
and Grandage duo also worked on a biographical drama movie, Genius. It will
released later this year. He will also direct Dawn French in her solo show 30
Million Minutes which is all set to make Westend transfer.
