 Dominion is a popular Westend Theatre positioned on Tottenham Court Road near St. Giles Circus and Centre Point Tower in the London Borough of Camden. In the year 1928-29, Dominion Theatre was constructed. W and T R Milburn designed the theatre having steel framed construction with a concave Portland stone façade.

 The theatre was mainly constructed for live shows. Judy Garland was the first major live show that was performed in the year 1957 and since then Dominion Theatre has become the major and popular venue for successful musicals. Some of the most popular musical concerts were performed during the 80s. In the year 1982, Tangerine Dream’s Logos was recorded which features a tune known as Dominion in tribute.

 During the early 90s, Dominion Theatre was host to the David lan and Paul Nicholas’s new production, Grease, Scrooge: The Musical, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake and Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. On varied times, Royal Variety Performances were performed during the 90s.

 The current seating capacity of Dominion Theatre is 2,182 with two tiers of galleries. The light fittings and art deco plasterwork of 1920s was retained. During the last few years, Dominion Theatre has underwent huge renovations. In the year 2002, popular stage musical We Will Rock You which was created by Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor with the British comedian Ben Elton marked its debut at the Dominion Theatre! The hugely successful show is ruling the box office and wooing the audience from long.
