Secret Garden
Get set to catch
the brand new version of the hugely loved and popular musical, The Secret
Garden. The show is all set to make it premiere this summer at the Ambassadors
Theatre London. The story of The Secret Garden is based from the classic book
by Frances Hodgson Burnett, whereas adapted from the Broadway 1991 smashing
hit. The show will make its debut at London Westend on 27th July
2016 and will be running till 31st August 2016.
The story of The
Secret Garden is set during early 1900s and revolves around a young girl named,
Mary Lennox. The girl was born in India and recently lost her parents to
disease. She is an orphan now and has been sent to some unknown relatives in
England to live. The girl is quite unhappy and meets a kindly maid called
Martha and her gardener brother Dickon.
All of them
become friends and soon discover interesting secrets of the house and the
garden contain. The adventure beings followed by a far greater effect on their
lives along with lives of the wider family. The show has enjoyed huge
popularity as well as the film adaptation was equally
successful.
The Broadway
musical version is one of the most loved and enjoyed commercial success. The
show is penned by Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon. The original production enjoyed
run of more than 700 performances, whereas nominated for 7 Tony Awards.
This new version
of the Secret Garden will run for 70 minute running time and recommended for
viewers of all age groups. Rupert Hands will direct The Secret Garden and choreographed
by Jamie Neale and have musical direction by Richard Barkeer. The show is set
to be one of the most beautiful and enchanting productions of London Westend.
The Secret Garden is ideal for families, as they will have refreshing and
rejuvenating experience. Previews of The Secret Garden will start on 27th July
2016 and will run until 31st August 2016.
