The brand new London musical Made in Dageham is inspired
from a real life saga. It is based on the hit movie and revolves around love,
friendship and fights for what is right. The enthralling story of millions of
working women is simply touching. The story of a working woman Rita O’Grady who
tries to get her husband out of bed, send the kids to school and have to be on
factory for work on time.
Lives of the girls working in the
sewing room of Ford’s Dagenham Car plant is about to change forever after an
announcement that their pay grade will dropped to unskilled. Rita leads her
friends in a fight against the powerful Ford and the corrupt Union,
which should protect them.
Made in Dagenham is a beautiful
story of ordinary people who can do extraordinary things when they show courage
and stand for right. The Made in DAgengan will star Gemma Arterton who is
mainly known for St Trinian's (2007), Quantum of Solace (2008), Clash of the
Titans (2010), and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010). In 2013, she
starred in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and Byzantium.
The multi award winning creative
team of Made in Dageham comprises of Rupert Goold, writer Richard Bean and
BAFTA Grammy award winning music composer David Arnold. Adelphi Theatre will
host the upcoming London
musical. The original movie stars Sally Hawkins as a Machinist in Ford’s
